Do you use Article Marketing to promote your business?
It's a very popular way of getting traffic to your site, as well as building up backlinks.
Backlinks are links to your site that get indexed by the search engines. The more relevant links you have to your site, the higher you appear in the search engines results pages.
So what other benefits are there to using articles to market your site? Well, if somebody is starting to get interested in the kind of thing you are selling, they often go to the Internet search engines to find more information about it.
If the search engine takes them to your article, they can read all about the products that you sell, how to use them, what factors to consider when choosing one, etc. If you write well-reasoned articles about your products, without giving them the hard sell, the readers are more likely to consider you an authority on the subject. This is even more likely to happen if you submit a number of related articles on your subject.
So when you include a link to your site in the resource box at the end of the article, the readers are more likely to go to your site.
There are a number of article sites around, but my current favourite is Article Content King. The reason why I like it so much is that for a small fee, you can get your articles syndicated to a blog which very often gets your articles into Google within an hour. But the piece de resistance of the site is that you get to control the ads that are displayed on the pages containing your article - and keep 100% of the profits from displaying those ads.
This means that I can stop my competitors' ads from appearing on the same page as my articles, Display whatever ads I choose (including ads for my own products), or even sell the ad space to other people. Whatever I do with the ads, I stand to make extra money from them.
If you use articles for marketing, or want to start now, you could do a lot worse than go to Article Content King.

Great post Phil! It is the content of your article that will ultimately make sales, but if no-one reads it, it has no power. Getting your content syndicated to blogs will help drive a lot more traffic.
